Raghav Chadha has urged the removal of penalty charges imposed by banks for not maintaining minimum account balances.
Referring to data presented in the Lok Sabha, he highlighted that banks collected around ₹19,000 crore over the past three financial years
— including ₹8,000 crore from public sector banks and ₹11,000 crore from private banks.
