Congress claims Kejriwal stole '128 cr' from Pannun and backed 'Khalistanis'.

In a recent escalation of political tensions ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections, Congress has leveled serious allegations against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, claiming that he accepted significant financial support from the banned organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ). Congress leader Ajay Maken accused Kejriwal of receiving approximately ₹128 crore (around $16 million) from Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the founder of SFJ, which is known for advocating Khalistani separatism.

Allegations of Financial Misconduct:
During a press conference, Maken asserted that this funding was instrumental in helping the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) secure victories in Punjab elections. He criticized Kejriwal for not denying these claims and suggested that AAP leaders, including Raghav Chadha, had maintained regular contact with Pannun. The allegations are particularly damaging as they come amidst ongoing concerns about rising extremism and lawlessness in Punjab, linked to Khalistani activities.

Kejriwal's Response:
As of now, AAP has not issued a formal rebuttal to these allegations. However, party spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang dismissed the claims as fabrications aimed at defaming AAP. He suggested that Pannun's rise to prominence coincides with the BJP's political maneuvers against anti-Modi forces, indicating a broader strategy to undermine opposition parties.
