According to a Monday announcement, the three BJP candidates for graduate seats are Jai Pal Singh (Bareilly-Morabad), Arun Pathak (Kanpur-Unnao), and Devendra Pratap Singh (Gorakhpur-Faizabad).
Venu Ranjan Bhadauria, the party nominee for the Kanpur-Unnao teachers’ seat, and Babulal Tiwari, the candidate for the Jhansi-Prayagraj teachers’ constituency, are the contenders for the two teachers’ constituencies. This year, elections will be held in Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Rajasthan, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Tripura, and Karnataka.
The BJP and its partners control the governments in six of these nine states. While the Bharatiya Rashtra Samithi is in charge of Telangana, the Congress is in charge of Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh (formerly Telangana Rashtra Samithi). Later this month, Nadda’s three-year stint as party leader comes to a conclusion. His term is being extended though due to forthcoming elections.
