Esha Gupta, an actress, visited the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj on February 6, 2025, to take a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. Gupta clarified that her visit was motivated by her devotion to Sanatan Dharma, rather than as a Bollywood celebrity. She emphasized her role as a follower of Sanatan Dharma, a daughter, and an Indian.
Gupta urged others to experience the Mahakumbh, regardless of their reasons for faith or duty. She commended the well-organized arrangements and the spiritual atmosphere of the event. Gupta also lauded Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the grand arrangements at Mahakumbh.
In a video shared by ANI, Gupta stated that Bollywood actors’ job is not to comment on others. She said she was there as a follower of Sanatan Dharma and as an Indian who never imagined being part of a Kumbh like this.
Several other Bollywood celebrities, including Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, Kabir Khan, and Remo D’Souza, have also attended the Maha Kumbh this year.
