The international finals for both Fortnite and Rocket League are set to take place in Lyon-Décines, France, in September 2025. The LDLC Arena will host the Fortnite Global Championship from September 6-7, and the Rocket League World Championship from September 9.
Fortnite Global Championship
Dates: September 6-7, 2025.
Location: LDLC Arena in Lyon-Décines, France.
Format: Trios34. This is a change from the usual Duos format.
Teams: 33 trios from across Europe, North America, Brazil, Asia, Oceania, and the Middle East will compete.
Prize Pool: $2 million.
Tickets: Details regarding tickets will be shared on Fortnite Competitive’s social channels starting February 13 and 14, 2025 (Eastern Time).
Rocket League World Championship
Dates: September 9-14, 2025.
Location: LDLC Arena in Lyon, France.
Teams: 20 international teams.
Prize Pool: $1.2 million.
Significance: This marks the first time the Rocket League World Championship will be hosted in France. France has produced seven world champions since 2022.
Tickets: Tickets will go on sale starting February 12, 2025.
These events are produced and promoted by BLAST in partnership with AEG Presents. This is the fifth time the Rocket League World Championship is being held in Europe, but the first time in France.
The choice of France as the host nation is significant, particularly for Rocket League, given the country’s passionate esports culture and the success of French-speaking teams in recent years. The LDLC Arena, with a seating capacity of 16,000, is expected to provide an exciting atmosphere for both tournaments.
