Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy celebrated the Rakhi festival in Hyderabad on August 18, 2024, emphasizing the importance of women’s empowerment.
During the festivities, he extended warm greetings to women, highlighting the festival’s significance as a symbol of the bond between brothers and sisters. Reddy expressed hopes for a joyful celebration among families across the state.
In his address, he reiterated the government’s commitment to women’s welfare, mentioning several initiatives aimed at empowering women economically. These include free bus travel, subsidized cooking gas cylinders priced at Rs 500, and free electricity supply for up to 200 units, all part of the state’s Six Guarantees initiative. Reddy assured that his administration would continue to support women’s self-help societies and prioritize their safety and protection.
Additionally, Reddy participated in various meetings, including a Congress Legislative Party meeting and an event organized by the Kshatriya Seva Samiti, where he acknowledged the community’s contributions to Hyderabad’s development.
