CCTV footage from a recent explosion outside a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) school in Rohini, Delhi, has revealed significant details regarding the incident. The blast occurred on October 20, 2024, around 7:50 AM, damaging the school’s wall and nearby structures but fortunately resulting in no injuries. The incident has raised concerns amid a series of bomb threat calls across India, prompting heightened security measures.
CCTV Footage Analysis: The footage captured the moment of the explosion and showed two cars parked nearby, along with a bike passing just before the blast. Investigators are particularly focused on a suspect seen wearing a white T-shirt the night before the explosion. This individual was reportedly observed planting explosives concealed in a polythene bag, buried in a shallow pit and covered with debris to avoid detection.
Investigation Details: Following the explosion, forensic teams discovered suspicious white powder at the scene, which has been sent for laboratory analysis. Soil samples were also collected from the area surrounding the blast site to assist in determining the nature of the explosive used.
The police have initiated a comprehensive investigation, including reviewing mobile network data to identify individuals present in the vicinity at the time of the explosion
